Description

Gijima, a leading South African ICT company, is offering 50 internship opportunities for students who are completing their 3-year IT-related qualification and require Work Integrated Learning (WIL). This internship is focused on IT Support-related disciplines such as Communication Networks, Support Services, and Computer Systems. This program provides hands-on experience in a professional IT environment and aims to help learners meet their graduation requirements while gaining valuable industry exposure.

Responsibilities

Assist IT support teams in troubleshooting, maintaining, and resolving technical issues
Work under supervision to support internal users with hardware, software, and networking needs
Contribute to the setup, maintenance, and configuration of IT systems
Gain practical exposure to IT operations in a corporate environment
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Complete all learning modules and practical tasks as per WIL requirements
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in the workplace
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet performance goals
Submit regular progress reports or logs if required by your tertiary institution

Qualifications

Must require Work Integrated Learning (WIL) to complete a 3-year tertiary IT qualification
Must possess a recommendation letter from a tertiary institution (pre-WIL letters not accepted)
Must submit latest academic results, stamped by the institution and recently certified
Must be currently unemployed and not participating in another internship/learnership
Must have Matric with English and Mathematics
Must be between 18–35 years old as of 1 August 2025
Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Must have no criminal record
Must reside in Gauteng (relocation not allowed)
Must be a South African citizen
